Felipe Rodrigues, who joins CMVC as accompanist in September 2017, comes from Sao Paulo, Brazil.  He taught himself to play the piano at an early age and had his first formal lessons at the age of 14, when he attended the Tatui’s Conservatory, one of the most prestigious music schools in Brazil. In 2008 he graduated from the piano performance programme at Sao Paulo State University and later took a master’s degree in both piano performance and collaborative piano (accompanying) at Illinois State University.  Felipe has performed in numerous solo, collaborative and chamber music recitals in Brazil and in the United States.  After coming to London, he made his UK recital debut in June 2017, when,  in collaboration with American tenor Justin Vickers, he performed at the Red House, the former house of Benjamin Britten and Sir Peter Pears, in Aldeburgh.  Felipe has accompanied students of the eminent  tenor Neil Mackie at the Royal Academy of Music, playing for lessons and exams, and he has accompanied other choirs in London.
