Frances Ringer, who became CMVC accompanist in April 2015, grew up in Woodbridge, Suffolk, and played recorder, clarinet and bassoon when she first went to school. She started piano when she was ten.  Fran studied music at Bath Spa University, obtaining a BA (Hons) Music in 2012, and was heavily involved in the musical theatre and opera departments, which included undertaking repétiteur work, coaching singers and playing at rehearsals.  Fran is currently studying for an MA in piano accompaniment at the Royal Academy of Music and has already conducted recitals in a variety of venues.  She has previously played as accompanist with a range of mixed choirs and has undertaken education and outreach work, in particular in the field of dementia.  Fran is also an experienced singer and is a first alto with the London Symphony Chorus, appearing with the LSC at the Barbican, the Royal Festival Hall and the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.
