WALKERS GO RACING AT EPSOM

Big sky at Epsom

The choir walkers enjoyed an outing to the races on 28 July.  Their excursion started and finished at Tattenham Corner and included a wide sweep of the Epsom race course and downs.  The brisk five-and-a-half mile circuit also took in farmland and two stops in Walton-on-the Hill – the first at the Fox and Hounds, the second at Walton’s famed ice-cream parlour.  Nine walkers took part, together with social member Ted Mouat.  The walkers posed for a shot by the Epsom winning post, with tenor Rob Newall judged to have won by a nose.
