July 30: The choir is to hold an Open Evening at Sandilands on Thursday October 19, starting at 7.30pm. Potential new members will be able to meet the choir, do some singing and get a taste of all its activities.

Splendid summer concert ends season
July 16: The choir staged its summer concert at Shirley Methodist Church on Friday (July 14), winning applause and enthusiasm for a spirited performance which demonstrated the elevated levels it has reached with its new music director, Matthew Quinn.

Choir sings for charity at the Lamb
John Ward Turner reports: On the evening of 28 June, a group of Croydon Male Voice Choir members rallied round to share their musical repertoire for a worthy cause at the Lamb Tavern in the famous Leadenhall market.

Choir wows Cheltenham
May 21: The choir has returned from a successful weekend tour of Cheltenham, where it staged three concerts and made a round of informal appearances. It won widespread praise for the quality of its performances, and riotous acclaim for two late-night sings in a local pub.

Croydon's Coronation triumph
Dave Bannister writes: CMVC joined the Black British Classical Foundation (BBCF) in a celebration concert at St Mildred’s, Addiscombe on Sunday May 7. The outcome was a triumphant musical occasion that won praise from all sides.
Choir helps launch Year of Culture
